Of course the thing I love most about Thanksgiving is getting together with family, but the food is really close second.
I'm so lucky to have so many great cooks in my family and our holiday celebrations are always full of delicious contributions from everyone.
While we may not be able to get together with family, it doesn't mean we can't eat.
My little family of four will still be enjoying a delicious meal and I've rounded up some of my favourite Thanksgiving recipes to share with you!
First up on my menu is a delicious Appetizer.
These bacon wrapped water chestnuts are so good you may need to distance yourself from the serving tray.
Next, we need some dinner rolls.
I find Martha Stewart's recipe delicious and really easy to follow. Just make sure you start them early enough to rise.
For the main event,
I have always followed these directions for my Turkey and it always turns out perfectly (using my mom's stuffing recipe).
Plus you can't forget the side dishes!
Use your favourite mashed potato method and these roasted veggies with pecans and cranberries. (I substitute the squash for sweet potato and pre-cook some bacon replacing the olive oil with the bacon fat at the beginning.)
Dessert is always a toss up. Apple or Pumpkin?
If you have a favourite pumpkin pie recipe use that, or make an easy apple crisp!
Regardless of what you eat or who you're with this holiday, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I will be giving thanks for every single one of you.
